Renovation of an Occupied Healthcare Space

NDC served as the general contractor for a 6,500 sq. ft. renovation of an occupied second-floor space in Stamford, CT. Our partner on this project was Stein Troost Architecture.

Project funding included CHRO requirements and a detailed set-aside plan. As a woman-owned business, NDC is proud that we not only met the specified requirements but far exceeded the percentages.

The sensitive nature of the healthcare environment presented additional considerations for patient safety and privacy. NDC and our team of subcontractors used a phased schedule to complete the work after hours. Using a collaborative approach, we carefully coordinated the multiple power and fire sprinkler shut downs to minimize interruption to the business.

In addition, NDC was able to use our experience with ICRA and decades of working in hospital settings to help the healthcare facility owner conform to joint commission standards required to maintain their accreditation.
