The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies runs an immersive backwoods program in Northwestern Connecticut, studying land use and spatial analysis. When the program needed six sleeping cabins relocated, NDC was selected as general contractor. Scope began with developing the site plan and laydown areas, then rigging and removing each cabin from its foundation. Electrical trenches were dug and new conduits installed, new foundations poured, and each cabin reset in place on sound footings. The project called for creative problem-solving and tight coordination to move and reset each structure without disturbing the surrounding forest.
